Why am I seeing the error "Your card is being rejected by our card processor/card networks"?
If you've received this message it means that unfortunately, your card was declined by our payment processor due to security concerns.
Declines for security concerns are typically based on two main reasons:
- There has been known to be cases of fraud in the past on the credit or debit credit card you are trying to use; OR
- There has been one or more chargebacks on that credit or debit card in the past (any dispute concerning a purchase made on the credit card).
Note: The above cases do not need to have happened with Paytm but could have taken place with any other business using our payment processor. Paytm has no control over the decision to block your card; nor do we have insight into the circumstances of the card block.
Can I still use my card to make a payment?
To complete your payment right away, we suggest using another debit or credit card.
If you are concerned or would like to have your card unblocked, we recommend the following:
- If you suspect your card was involved or used for fraudulent means in the past, please call your bank or card issuer and have them issue you a new card.
- If you remember which business you previously had a chargeback with, please contact that business. They may be able to remove your card from the payment processors blocked list.
While these methods have worked for some of our customers, we cannot guarantee it will work in every case, therefore we suggest that you use another debit or credit card to complete the payment.
