Why am I seeing the error "Your card is being rejected by our card processor/card networks" ?
If you received this message, it means that unfortunately, your card is being declined by our payment processor due to security concerns.
Declines for security concerns are typically based on two main reasons:
- There has been known to be cases of fraud in the past on the credit or debit credit card you are trying to use; OR
- There has been one or more chargebacks on that credit or debit card in the past (Any dispute concerning a purchase made on the credit card).
Note: The above cases do not need to have happened on Paytm but could have taken place on any other merchant also using our payment processor. Paytm does not have any control over the payment processors decision to block your card; nor do we have insight into the circumstances of the card block.
Can I still use my card to make a payment ?
To complete your payment - our suggestion is to use another debit or credit card to complete the payment.
If you are concerned or would like to have your card unblocked by our payment process we suggest one of the following:
- If you suspect your card was involved or used for fraudulent means in the past, please call your bank or card issuer and have them issue you a new card.
- If you remember which merchant you previously had a chargeback with, please contact that merchant. They may be able to remove your card from the payment processors blocked list.
While these methods have worked for some of our customers, we cannot guarantee it will work in every case, therefore we suggest that you use another debit or credit card to complete the payment.
